It flows

More work has been done on the film. The initial edit was completed and now going back through the film to pick better sequences, determining which takes have the better flow, and to see how much better it can be rearranged. As it stands, I’m about 48 minutes into the film. At this stage the film could make it to the two hour mark, which suits me just fine, but it still might have to be trimmed to allow for tempo and pacing. Will just have to see when we get that far into.

It’s official! The edit is done!

That’s right, folks, the edit of “Apache Unearthed” is finished.

To be honest, I never thought I would make it to this point, but I have. It’s a good feeling to know that so much effort has paid off. Thanks to Phil, JJ, Amethyst, and the many others who’s help was required to make this film. I would thank you all but the list is a little long.

More to come…score, finished edit and art work. I’m really looking forward to this part!

See ya’ soon,

Steve

Editing is almost done. I’m pretty excited to make that announcement. It’s been a long hard road but I’m almost at the finish line.

More fun than shaking a stick

Editing has come along quite nicely. I have have gone through more than half the film already. I enjoy it now. There are moments when it’s a bit challenging, but that’s part of the process. In the coming days I will put up some screen shots of the work in progress and possibly put up some video of the behind-the-scenes.

Once the initial edit has been run through, JJ and I will move on to doing the final edit and then start scoring and put final touches on the film itself, i.e., color correction and audio enhancements.

It’s exciting and sexy and a little smelly.

I know there isn’t much on the site just yet, but I’m spending most of my time editing the film. Time to get that done. It’s coming along, as long as I can keep Windows bullshit from screwing it all up. It’s a hassle to work in Windows. I would rather be working in Linux where the platform is stable and secure. Oh, well. Is what it is.

JJ has come over and helped a bit, but right now I’m flying through this stuff. So we’ll hold off on doing the joint effort.

We’ll have some very big news coming up soon…more.

More editing…

Have been doing more and more editing in hopes of getting this cut and ready very soon. Once the first run is done, there will a second and then to fine gentlemen who will be scoring the film.

While that is being done, color correction and some other odds and ends will take place.

Getting there. :)

Towsive Publishes

I have come up with the idea to publish a book. The concept is simple. I want to find folks who have gone through some dark times in their lives and survived. The catch is this: they cannot be faith based stories. These will be stories of how the human spirit triumphed and overcame. Or humans helping humans, without believing that a deity assisted.

They will be stories of overcoming great sorrow, grief or pain to come out a better person. Solicitation for authors will begin very soon.

Updates!

More editing has taken place. Yes, more film has been cut up. In an effort to expedite the processes, I’ve started editing everyday. It will go pretty quickly and now that I’m in the mind-space for editing, it will be done. :)

JJ will be helping me out as much as she can. It will be a good time.

Are you listening?

After some failed attempts and tries, it looks like the radio thing is going to happen. Having the ability to actually broadcast is simply amazing and fun. With Jeremy’s technical assistance and witty poop jokes, we’ll start having some serious fun. Just hold on for a bit.
