UPDATE: Much to my surprise, the movie is still selling. Can you believe that? I have a hard time believing it, but I keep getting the royalty notices in my E-mail. I’m a little stunned, but, I’m happy about. I guess a little proud, too. Can’t wait to get the newest release out there and see what we can do, since it’s about 20 times better than this one. Towsive gets better and better, but our past continues to surprise us…well, me. Right now, if you look at the studio, I’m the only one left. Onward and upward!

I guess I need to explain that clip a little more so you don’t get the wrong impression. Here’s the scoop: This was called the “Second Weekend” and we had lost most of the cast due to personality conflicts. Go figure, right. Money was spent, people had scheduled the time off to be there and we had location. So instead of just stopping and not doing anything (how does one learn that way) we went ahead and shot what we could, made some stuff up and had a general good time. So don’t think too harsh of what you have seen. It was fun, and, in the end, it was worth it.
We learned a lot and made the best of a bad situation, so it take it for what it’s worth. It’s not as bad as it seems. You just had to be there.

Where we are at with the movie, for those who want to know. Got the new editing rig in place and had to start over because the versions were so far apart the files wouldn’t convert. No big deal. I knew how it all needed to be cut.
So I’m working on that and the drive that houses the video that was dumped started to smell like fowl egg shit. It fried while I was working. So I was a little pissed by that, but I was lucky in that I was anal enough to actually back up the video on to another storage device. All it meant was buying a new one and shoving it in there and copying (for hours). Once that was done, the races started up again.
That paid off and now I just have to fix a few small things and then I can proceed again. If the Verse will leave me the fuck alone, that is. Seems like this whole thing is knida’ cursed. That’s why it’s taken three fucking years. Bastards.
So next is to get the first cut done and it so I can get that sent off for scoring contracts and then back into it to fix the small stuff, do some green screen and some image touch up. Of course there is a lot more to it than that, but that will give you some idea.
And then I’m looking for folks who would like to stop by and do some editing. Why? Good question. Well, in all honesty, my batteries are running low. Shit, after three fucking years, who’s wouldn’t be? So I’m kinda’ looking for folks to just help me see things and catch what might be stupid. You don’t have to have any experience at all, all you need is to love movies and what sorta’ makes them tick. Hell, you just have to love movies. That’s about it.
I guess that’s about it for now. More as I have it.
As I go through and edit the film. I’m going to grab bits an pieces here and there to throw up. Or I may just throw up. Who knows. But that is the intent.
